Com-Net Software, the largest dedicated provider of flight information display systems in North America, today announced that it has completed the installation of its ECLIPSX® Multi User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS) at Asheville Regional Airport in Fletcher, NC.
Asheville chose ECLIPSX 4.1, the fourth release of Com-Net’s third generation MUFIDS solution. In addition to flight information, LCD-TFT displays throughout the airport feature ECLIPSX-Ad, Com-Net’s integrated digital advertising application and a real-time, graphical depiction of arriving and departing flights in addition to local weather.
“We are proud to have been selected by Asheville Regional Airport. They have been great to work with so far and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership well into the future,” said Montee Fiely, Director of Sales and Marketing.
“The new system gives our clients the ability to see more than just the arrivals and departures in text format which is fantastic. We now have the ability to view flights with code shares, whether an aircraft is arriving or departing at the scheduled times, and a graphical view of the approximate location of the aircraft in route.” said Royce Holden, IT Manager for the Asheville Regional Airport Authority.
Clients of the Asheville Regional Airport include people that work at the airport such as Ground Transportation, TSA, Parking Lot Administrators, Airlines, as well as the traveling public. Everyone benefits as the new displays use the latest LCD technology, viewable space increased from 27” CRT monitors to the new 40” widescreen format. “We’ve integrated the ability for the Public Safety Department to show visual paging messages instantly and created an easy to read airport directory that showcases complimentary wireless hotspots and concessions in the terminal,” added Holden.
Asheville Regional Airport is located in western North Carolina and has 32 flights per day. Visit www.flyavl.com for more information. |
