Signature Technologies, Inc. dba Com-Net Software announced today that it has been selected to provide a comprehensive Passenger Communication System for Metra Rail, Chicago, IL. The project includes the replacement of out-dated and un-repairable signage including gate boards, big boards, and obsolete CRTs with state-of-the-art LED and LCD technology. The displays will be powered by a custom software application designed and developed by Com-Net, exclusively for Metra. Com-Net will also install its award winning ECLIPSX® Digital Paging at five downtown terminals to provide aural annunciation at track level for Metra’s visually impaired passengers.
The contract, awarded in August, will be executed in a phased manner over a two-year period and will include approximately 104 new LED gate boards and 266 LCD displays at five terminals. “We are proud to have been selected by Metra for such a mission critical set of systems” said Com-Net Director of Sales and Marketing, Montee Fiely. “Metra’s high visibility in the Chicago area is an important asset, and the project required a company with a proven track record of success to maintain its reputation.” |
