Com-Net Software announced today that it has been selected by Asheville Regional Airport to install two new products from the ECLIPSX family of Passenger
Communication Systems. Asheville will upgrade its ECLIPSX Multi-User Flight Information Displays System (MUFIDS) to the latest 5.0
platform while adding more than 40 new flat displays throughout the terminal. Asheville will also install ECLIPSX Digital Paging
2.0, Com-Net's latest public address system and the most flexible and feature-rich public address system designed specifically for airports, airlines, and
mass transit facilities. “Com-Net’s technology moves the Asheville Regional Airport closer to the unified airport communications concept. Now, we can provide shared tenant services including flight and baggage information, public addressing, free wireless internet, and telecommunications from one network," said Royce Holden, Asheville Regional Airport IT Manager. “In addition, by integrating our public address system, flight information and telecom into one network, we’re saving electrical costs, rack space and creating a smaller carbon footprint in the community.” “We are thrilled that Asheville has selected us for this project," said Kelly Kavanaugh, vice president sales and marketing. The project is scheduled to begin this May and will be completed by the end of the second quarter. |
