Com-Net Software announced today that it has negotiated a contract with the City of San Jose to install ECLIPSX Digital Paging at
Mineta San Jose International Airport. "This project is a milestone for Com-Net Software and for the airport industry as a whole," said Dave Michaels,
president and CFO of Com-Net. “The system we are designing is state-of-the-art, as it should be in a city like San Jose, where advanced technologies are
expected." The deployment of ECLIPSX Digital Paging will provide San Jose the capability to support its common use environment by offering each airline its unique
paging functionality and branding based on the user log-in to any paging station in the airport. Additionally, Com-Net will provide a bi-directional
interface to the common use system which will allow users to send and receive flight information changes from a third-party flight information display
systems (FIDS) provider.
As part of this project, Com-Net will develop an application that will allow users to retrieve courtesy announcements through an American Disabilities
Act (ADA) compliant kiosk.
The project is set to begin immediately and will continue through June 2011 as the airport is constructed and renovated in multiple phases. |
