Miamisburg, Ohio -Com-Net Software announced today the completion of a custom advertising kiosk development project at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida. Com-Net, the airport’s current provider of ECLIPSX® Multi-User Flight Information Display Systems (MUFIDS) since 2005, worked closely with RSW to design and develop four new advertising kiosks in addition to the ECLIPSX-Ad, content management module and nineteen LCD advertising displays positioned strategically throughout the terminal. The technologically-advanced advertising kiosks leverage the latest in technologies allowing arriving passengers the ability to quickly find, call and print important travel details such as: directions and coupons to hotels, rental car information and information about local attractions. The flat panel LCD advertisement monitors in addition to the kiosks are a powerful combination of performance and usability. This project gives RSW the ability to take advertising in-house and generate revenue through third-party advertisers who wish to reach their captive audience with state-of-the-art thin bezel flat panel monitors and the ability to display eye-catching content. Additionally, Com-Net’s ECLIPSX® technologies integrate the new kiosks directly into the existing ECLIPSX® Advertising database for reporting of impression data and billing. This provides airport personnel the ability to manage content and revenue with familiarity and ease. “This is a good example of how we can leverage the flexibility of the ECLIPSX platform and the talent of our software development organization to solve a specific customer need, even one that is seemingly unrelated to flight information display”, said Mark Mayfield, director of sales and marketing at Com-Net Software. |
