Com-Net Software, a leading provider of information display systems for airports, airlines and transit, today announced the completion of an ECLIPSX® upgrade to the multi-user flight information display system (MUFIDS) at Reno/Tahoe International Airport.
ECLIPSX is Com-Net’s family of flight information display system (FIDS) products. ECLIPSX-Display, Com-Net’s core FIDS application, is based on the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 operating system and Internet Explorer® browser and uses the latest Web display technologies. In addition to ECLIPSX-Display, the installation included ECLIPSX-Design, a screen designer module; ECLIPSX-Ad, an advertising scheduling module; and ECLIPSX 2Web, a Web interface.
Marty Mueller, manager of technology and information systems for the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, commented: “We evaluated other MUFIDS products and found that ECLIPSX is by far the most technically superior. We’ve also been very impressed with the excellent service and support provided by Com-Net at Reno/Tahoe International Airport.”
Reno/Tahoe International Airport, which accommodated over 4.5 million arriving and departing passengers last year, recently completed the final phase of its $3.5 million concessions and terminal remodeling project.
"Many of the airports that have used our MUFIDS products for a number of years are upgrading to ECLIPSX,” commented Doug Strasser, Com-Net Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We’re getting excellent feedback from them about the product’s ease of use, dependability and performance.” |
