Com-Net Software, the largest dedicated provider of flight information display systems in North America, today announced the award of a contract to install and maintain a Multi-User Flight and Baggage Information Display System (MUFIDS) at Baltimore / Washington International Airport. The installation and maintenance contract has a combined award value of $4,714,186.
Com-Net will install ECLIPSX®, its industry leading MUFIDS application suite, at BWI. The installation display technology includes 40” flat panel liquid crystal displays (LCD), LED signs, and passenger information kiosks. The ECLIPSX MUFIDS at BWI will utilize a state-of-the-art three (3) server platform configured using Microsoft Windows clustering services.
Com-Net will provide full service maintenance and support for the new MUFIDS system at BWI for a period of five (5) years. This full service agreement provides BWI with around-the-clock coverage through a combination of Help Desk technical assistance and dedicated on-site support personnel to ensure the uptime of the new system.
Com-Net is teaming with a number of Maryland based businesses to deliver all aspects of this project, including the installation and configuration of new premise power and data wiring, millwork enclosures, and the MUFIDS system components.
The BWI project schedule states that installation of the new system is to be completed by May of 2005. |
