Com-Net Software, the largest dedicated provider of flight information display systems in North America, today announced that it has released ECLIPSX® 4.0. This is the fourth release of the third generation Multi-User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS). The 4.0 version of ECLIPSX includes enhancements to nearly every aspect of the system with a major focus on improved management and incorporation of .NET technologies into the core product. The ECLIPSX system continues to leverage the technologies and standards of the web in a powerful but easy-to-use solution that will allow you to extend the breadth and range of passenger communications.
The most significant change in ECLIPSX 4.0 is the seamless integration with Com-Net’s new Digital Paging Solution. The combined solution gives airports the ability to provide passenger pages and other messages in both audio and visual formats. The solution co-exists on the same LAN infrastructure as other Ethernet solutions significantly reducing customers’ total cost of ownership.
Additional improvements in ECLIPSX 4.0 include an improved user interface for operations personnel and system administrators, enhanced system monitoring, improved role-based security, and a number of new and improved reports.
“The 4.0 release of ECLIPSX marks the beginning of a new focus on integrated passenger communications solutions, said Dave Michaels, Com-Net COO. Montee Fiely, Director of Sales and Marketing added, “Com-Net is committed to helping our customers improve their passengers’ experience. This release is almost exclusively what they asked us to provide.” |
