Com-Net Software, the leading information display system provider for airports, airlines and mass transit in North America, today announced a contract with JetBlue Airways for the installation of a new flight information display system (FIDS) in JetBlue’s Terminal 6 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Com-Net Software, a Microsoft Certified Partner, will install its ECLIPSX® Flight Information Display System which is based on Microsoft® Windows® 2003, Internet Explorer® and the latest Web display technologies. The installation will include 52 large screen LCD TFT and CRT displays to facilitate passenger communications throughout the terminal. The system installation is planned for the first quarter of 2005.
“It’s been exciting working with JetBlue on this initial component of their Passenger Communications System. The ECLIPSX product suite is mapped perfectly to their technical needs as a growing airline focused on customer service,” said Dave Michaels, Com-Net Software President.
“Com-Net’s proven history of supplying FIDS solutions to the airline industry was a deciding factor in selecting them for this project,” stated Nigel Adams, VP of Customer Service. “Also, their ECLIPSX application offered us the features and functionality that we were looking for in a FIDS product.”
“We see this contract as the beginning of a long-term partnership with JetBlue,” commented Montee Fiely, Com-Net’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “They are a young and exciting airline that we are proud to be working with.” |
